Founded more than 40 years ago, the company employs more than 650 people. It is the majority shareholder in the UK’s leading science and technology park operator Manchester Science Partnerships; purchased Alderley Park in Cheshire in 2014 and in 2018 acquired Innovation Birmingham.
Circle Square, a 2.4 million sq ft new city centre neighbourhood in the heart of the Manchester Oxford Road Corridor innovation district, is a joint venture between Bruntwood and Select Property Group and is due to be two thirds complete by 2020.
Bruntwood is also Strategic Property Partner to the Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and a member of the influential business-led think-tank the Northern Powerhouse Partnership and the Midlands Engine.
Bruntwood and its people are passionate about supporting communities, arts and culture in the city regions where it invests. The company donates around 10% of annual profits to local good causes through the Oglesby Charitable Trust and is proud to support the Manchester International Festival and RHS Tatton Flower Show.
