After a £14 million redevelopment Cornerblock is the first building in Birmingham to achieve an ‘A rated’ Energy Performance Certificate. It has been chosen for a Renaissance Award by the Birmingham Civic Society which celebrates the most successful conservation and refurbishment projects across the city. Built in the late 1980s Cornerblock was known as both Peat House and Two Cornwall Street and was built for the firm KPMG. Despite its prime location the building was disused for some time until we teamed up with Glenn Howell’s Architect Studio who helped us deliver our most ambitious development to date. Today Cornerblock is an innovative building with an emphasis on wellbeing not just workspace. Our long-term commitment to supporting the arts is also evidenced by the works on display around the building by local artist Jo Masding.
