Bruntwood are pleased to announce that we have become a founding suite holder at the biggest live music arena in the UK, Co-op Live. The venue is set to open in Manchester in December 2023 and will host some of the biggest artists in the world as well as sports, comedy and family shows, all in the most sustainable arena in the UK.

Co-op Live will have a world-class range of suite spaces with each available for entertaining at events throughout the year. With the largest floor space of any UK arena and a lower ceiling to bring fans closer to the artist, Co-op Live is designed to be big yet intimate, and the suites will host some of the most exclusive seats in the house.

As a founding suite holder, Bruntwood will be able to entertain even more people across Greater Manchester as the group plans to share the benefits of the suite membership with Bruntwood colleagues, customers and communities. Bruntwood will have access to the suite for teams and colleagues to enjoy publicly ticketed events.

This will allow hundreds more people across the year to experience what will be one of the world’s premier music and entertainment venues in the exceptional setting of the suite.

The suites offer invited fans at Co-op Live an opportunity to extend their offering further, specifically designed to facilitate networking and entertaining. An integral part of the arena’s innovative design, the suites include flexible food and drink options, a private dancefloor area, and exclusive seats with some of the best views in the house.

With plans to become one of the world’s most pioneering, sustainable and socially responsible live events venues, the partnership is a natural fit for Bruntwood, who were the first commercial property developers to sign up to the UK Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Commitment. A sustainability leader within the industry, Bruntwood has pledged to operate at net zero carbon in all of the areas under its direct control by 2030, with specific targets for emissions, energy usage, green spaces and biodiversity, materials, transportation, waste and water.

Chris Oglesby, CEO of Bruntwood said: “We are thrilled to be part of Co-op Live as a founding suite holder. Music is part of the fabric of our city and so we’re delighted to support this landmark venue for Manchester. As well as being the biggest and most community driven arena the country has ever seen, it also aims to be the most sustainable, which aligns perfectly with our ambitions as a business. To create thriving cities we need to address climate change and to make arts and culture more accessible to all - becoming a founding suite holder allows us to support this vision and to open it up to our communities.”

Becci Thomson, Head of Premium Sales at Co-op Live said: "We are delighted to welcome Bruntwood to Co-op Live as a founding suite holder. As a highly regarded local business, their community and sustainability values align strongly with our own, and we look forward to hosting their staff and clients in the unique suite environment during the very best live events.”
