Leaders in high-end padel experience, The Padel Club are pleased to announce their expansion across Cheshire with a club at Booths Park in the exclusive village of Knutsford.

With a successful reputation, The Padel Club is bringing one of the most exciting racket sports, with Clubs designed to foster incredible facilities, play and community, to a second Cheshire location.

The Padel Club is thrilled to announce that Knutsford will be the second town in Cheshire to welcome the club to a new home in its continued expansion. Following the success of its existing location in Wilmslow and the recent announcements of new clubs at TraffordCity and in Gloucester, The Padel Club is eager to bring a unique community sport experience to Knutsford.

Kris Ball, CEO of The Padel Club, shared his enthusiasm, stating, "Cheshire has been the first home of The Padel Club, and the recent expansion to TraffordCity and more recently, Gloucester underscores our serious desire to be the leader in padel - not only in Cheshire - but across the country."

The business has partnered with Bruntwood to create four new courts at the leading property providers collaborative business community, Booths Park. The new facilities will boost Booths Park’s integrated fitness and wellbeing offering, which already includes a brand-new Peloton bike studio and wellness suite. Bruntwood and The Padel Club will now work together to bring the site forward, with planning permission due to be submitted shortly.

James Tootle, Head of Retail & Leisure at Bruntwood said: “Padel is a sport that's popularity is rising across the UK, and we’re excited to be working with The Padel Club to create these new courts for our customers and the wider community to enjoy.

“This initiative shows our dedication to creating great workspaces that support a healthy work-life balance.”

The Padel Club, launched in July 2022, has quickly become a cornerstone of the community, fostering a love for padel, the fastest-growing racket sport in the UK and Europe. The Wilmslow location features four state-of-the-art courts, and the new TraffordCity site is set to be the largest purpose-built Padel facility in the north of the UK - with eleven courts, a clubhouse, on-site retail, and dining.

With a growing global reputation, The Padel Club is focused on community and building on the desire to play padel. “Our vision includes not just providing incredible facilities but also fostering a vibrant community where people of all ages and abilities can meet, play, and form lasting friendships.”

"We don't see padel as just another racket sport or something you do when you can't find a tennis court. Padel to us is an incredible sport in itself, but for The Padel Club, it's also about community. We've built a model that encourages people to meet new friends, play in different competitions, and enjoy the game together," added Kris Ball.

Kris continued, "It's great to watch so many players on court, competing and improving their game with people they never knew a few weeks ago."

The expansion into Knutsford has always been part of Kris and his team’s vision, as they saw the opportunity to bring their brand of Padel to a community with strong ties to sports and local engagement. Subject to planning, The Padel Club hope to commence construction of the 5 court Club at Booths Park in early 2025.

"We are going to build a facility that the people of Knutsford can be proud to use and call their own. The team at The Padel Club will work to bring together as many of the secret ingredients that make our vision for padel so special and unique, making it accessible to all. The customer experience is essential for us, and we feel that between the coaching, the courts, and the facilities, we have something to be overwhelmingly proud of," said Kris Ball.

Sports commentator, and former Manchester City player Joleon Lescott, who is an investor in The Padel Club and Padel player added:

“It’s brilliant that the Club is expanding in Cheshire, at Booths Park. I play often at the Club in Wilmslow as its local and sociable. I’m looking forward to more courts at Booths Park - to attract more Padel players to play and compete with.”
