Global fitness brand Les Mills has teamed up with family-owned, commercial property company Bruntwood to offer office workers the chance to get fit with their colleagues whilst at work.

Bruntwood has invested in a Les Mills Virtual group exercise space within their Trafford House office building on Chester Road, Manchester. The ground floor of the building has recently been refurbished to offer a whole floor dedicated to social and wellness for their customers that includes a kitchen, hot desks, showers and break-out areas as well as a conference room where the Les Mills Virtual classes will be streamed over lunchtime/before and after work on a large screen. The classes will be timetabled and employees who work in the building will be able to take part.

Les Mills mix great music and cutting-edge science to inspire millions of people to get moving every week through group classes such as BODYPUMP™, BODY COMBAT™ and BODY BALANCE™. The workouts are licensed by 17,500 partners in 100 countries around the world.

This is the first time that Les Mills UK has been involved in a project of this nature.

Dave Alstead from Les Mills UK said: “We are really excited to be involved in this Bruntwood project. Our global mission is to get people more active but we understand that people have very busy lifestyles nowadays so a lunchtime group workout can be a perfect time to fit in getting fit. It’s also a great way to bond with your colleagues and give you energy for your busy afternoon at work. This is a first for us, but we are definitely looking at creating more of these on-site virtual group exercise hubs in office buildings all over the UK.”

Peter Crowther Managing Director at Bruntwood said: “We are constantly looking at pushing ourselves and what we offer to our customers. At Bruntwood, we know that where you work can really influence how you work which is why we’re dedicated to creating better workplaces, that will help companies attract talent and therefore help shape businesses for the better. Recent trends have demonstrated there is increasing demand for more communal/collaboration space, as well as a focus on well-being. The Les Mills Virtual group exercise space really is added value for those that work in Trafford House. We hope the customers of Trafford House really enjoy their Les Mills Virtual classes.”

Trafford House is a prominent landmark building on Chester Road (A56) sat between Manchester United FC and Old Trafford Cricket Ground.
