Bruntwood Places invests £1.6 million in workspace and amenities at Booths Park

Bruntwood Places is investing £1.6 million in the latest phase of transformation at Booths Park, its 220-acre business campus near Knutsford. The programme includes a newly redesigned central courtyard, a major refurbishment of No.1 Booths Park and expanded cafe and fitness facilities.
Set within landscaped Cheshire parkland, the improvements build on Booths Park’s combination of high-quality workspace, outdoor space and on-site amenities, creating more opportunities for people to meet, connect and recharge throughout the working day.
At the heart of the transformation is a redesigned central courtyard, delivered in partnership with landscape architecture and urban design studio Layer.studio. The scheme has turned a previously underused area into a series of smaller, connected outdoor spaces for informal meetings, quiet breaks and events. Existing mature trees have been retained alongside new planting and raised beds, with landscaping designed to encourage biodiversity and provide shade during warmer weather. The courtyard has already hosted a range of customer events over the summer, and supports customer wellbeing, biodiversity and greater resilience to warmer weather.

Alongside this, No.1 Booths Park is undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment designed to create a fresh arrival experience for customers and visitors. Improvements include a new reception and customer host station, new flooring, lighting and furniture throughout, upgraded heating and ventilation, and a customer tea point. A new collection of serviced and leased office suites is also being created on the second floor, giving businesses greater choice and flexibility, from ready-to-use serviced workspace to conventional leased space.
The campus's food and fitness offer is growing too. Independent café operator April's Kitchen, which began trading from a pop up pod next to Booth Hall in June 2025, is taking a permanent 2,000 sq ft home in No.5 Booths Park following strong customer demand. Work begins this month, with the new café expected to open in November 2026, providing customers with an enhanced on-site food and drink offer.
Unltd Fitness, which opened at Booths Park in March 2025, is also expanding, nearly doubling its facilities to a total of 13,000 sq ft. The enlarged space will include new changing areas, hot and cold therapy facilities, a dedicated wellness room, treatment rooms and expanded training space, significantly strengthening the campus's health and wellbeing offer.
The investment is underpinned by continued demand for workspace at Booths Park. Data capture provider, Custodia has expanded from a serviced office into a 3,715 sq ft leased office within No.1 Booths Park, while Seatriever International Holdings has taken 3,300 sq ft at No. 3 Booths Park for its group company Illooms, which manufactures patented light-up balloons and supplies major retailers including Walmart and Target. The deals reflect demand from both existing customers looking to grow and businesses joining the campus.
Sharon Johnson, Head of Commercial at Bruntwood Places, said: ““Businesses want workspaces that support their ambitions and give their teams a great day-to-day experience. This investment brings those priorities together at Booths Park, with more choice of office space, welcoming outdoor areas and growing food and wellness facilities.
“Custodia’s expansion shows how we can support customers as their needs change, while April’s Kitchen and Unltd Fitness moving into larger spaces reflects the important role these independent operators play in campus life. Together, these improvements give businesses even more reasons to make Booths Park their home.”
Sonia Defreitas-Jones, Vice President of Sales EMEA, said: "With compliance, technology and AI becoming increasingly important for organisations, demand for our services continues to grow. Supporting that growth means investing not only in our products and services, but also in the environment we work in. Expanding at Booths Park felt like the natural next step for Custodia, it provides the resources and collaborative space needed to support our growing team and continue delivering outstanding value to our customers and partners."
Together, the courtyard transformation, No.1 Booths Park refurbishment, expanded amenities and recent workspace lettings mark the latest step in Bruntwood Places' long-term investment in Booths Park, as it continues to evolve the 220-acre campus into a complete workplace destination for businesses across Cheshire and the wider North West.
