Bruntwood completes transformation of Landmark House with new workspace, wellbeing facilities and coworking hub
By Bruntwood

We've recently completed a comprehensive transformation of the ground floor at Landmark in Cheadle, formerly known as Landmark House, creating a modern and well-connected workspace prioritising wellbeing and flexibility.
The project represents a significant investment in upgrading the physical environment and amenities at Landmark. The redevelopment introduces a striking new arrival experience with an upgraded entrance featuring a contemporary canopy, refreshed signage and enhanced landscaping. The improvements continue inside with a complete redesign that provides businesses with greater choice in how they use their workspace, as well as upgrades to the shared kitchens, toilets and lift lobby areas to ensure quality at every touchpoint.
At the heart of the redevelopment is a new coworking space for up to 10 people, complemented by a customer lounge and kitchen to give customers more choice in how they work. The space will provide ambitious businesses with the flexibility they need to grow, while offering them with a wide range of facilities and amenities. Two phone booths and a meeting booth provide spaces for focused work and private calls, while a dedicated meeting room accommodates up to eight people.
For businesses seeking dedicated space, two newly designed private suites measuring 31 sq m and 34 sq m, accommodating six and eight desks respectively, deliver premium, ready-to-occupy workspace.
With direct access to all the enhanced ground floor amenities, we offer an immediate solution for businesses looking to establish or expand their presence in Cheadle Hulme. The new suites add to the building’s existing workspace offering, with suites of various sizes available on a serviced, managed (fitted and furnished) and leased basis, supporting businesses at different stages of their growth.
Wellbeing has also been prioritised throughout the project. An extensive on-site gym allows customers to stay active without leaving the building, while upgraded shower and changing facilities support customers requiring both professional and leisure requirements under the same roof. A secure external bike store for 20 bikes also reinforces the building's active travel credentials.
Location remains a core strength of Landmark, with Cheadle Hulme station a three minute walk away and delivering direct rail connections to nearby major regional economic hubs of Stockport, Crewe, Stoke, Macclesfield and Manchester - crucial for businesses drawing talent from across the region. For those driving, on-site parking is available, while the building's position approximately 10 minutes from Manchester Airport and the M56 motorway provides the regional and national connectivity that businesses with wider operations require.
A number of shops, restaurants and bars can also be found nearby to Landmark and add further appeal. This includes Gusto on the ground floor of the building, while major retail destinations including Cheadle Royal, John Lewis and Handforth Dean retail park are just a short drive away. The blend of location, transport links and local provision delivers practical convenience for those working at Landmark House.
The transformation has already attracted new businesses to Landmark, with marketing consultancy McCracken Marketing choosing the workspace as their new location, while existing customers like MG Mortgage and Protection Limited have expanded their presence - demonstrating both the appeal to new customers and increased confidence from existing ones.
Sharon Johnson, Head of Commercial at Bruntwood, said: "Landmark has been a key workspace in Cheadle for years and this transformation ensures that it will continue to deliver on the evolving needs of businesses in the area. We've created an environment that provides the flexibility and quality businesses need, alongside facilities that support all-important colleague wellbeing.
"What makes Landmark such a compelling proposition is how it sits within Cheadle itself - surrounded by independent restaurants, retail and local amenities that people can access easily. That connection between quality workspace and a strong local offer is how we create places where businesses can thrive and people want to spend their time. The investment reflects our confidence in Cheadle and the ambitious, growth-focused businesses choosing to base themselves here. "
James McCracken, McCracken Marketing, said: "As someone who lives locally in Cheadle, staying close to home was important, and I already knew Landmark well so it felt like a natural fit. The upgraded facilities - particularly the flexible workspace and meeting areas - give me the environment to work effectively and host clients professionally. The investment Bruntwood has made shows in the quality of the space. It's the ideal foundation to grow the business from.
“The location also works well for reaching both local and regional clients and it’s great to be based somewhere that’s surrounded by local cafes and restaurants - it makes the workday that bit more enjoyable.”
Mark Gilligan, MG Mortgage and Protection Limited, said: "We launched MG Mortgage and Protection Ltd with just two desks at Landmark in 2024, doubling our space by the end of the first year and now moving into a six-desk space, with plans to expand further. When you're growing at that pace, you need a location that can support you.
“The investment Bruntwood has made - the upgraded facilities, co-working hub and wellbeing amenities - gave us confidence that Landmark could support our trajectory. Being able to expand within a building we already know, in an area that works for our clients, means we can keep our focus on growing the business.”
