Bar Shrimp is a new seafood and cocktail bar on Manchester’s New York Street brought to you by the team behind Higher Ground and Flawd. Considered cocktails, beers on tap, British seafood and snacks will be served, accompanied by world-class sound.
Joseph Otway, Daniel Craig Martin and Richard Cossins, together with their teams at Higher Ground and Flawd, are delighted to announce that Bar Shrimp will open on Thursday 16th October with reservations for dinner made live from today (Tuesday 9th September).
The seafood focused menu offers shellfi sh and caviar over ice, plates such as Cornish crab cocktail and British bluefi n tuna crudo, alongside bar-top classics including a Dexter beef burger and hand-cut fries. An Oyster Happy Hour will run daily between 4-5pm!
Whether it’s a beer after work, some food with friends or after dinner drinks late into the night, Bar Shrimp will be a dynamic space where the music and energy evolves throughout the evening. The bar lounge will be dark lit with the comfort of plush-red banquettes and fl oor to ceiling drapes, with table service being offered throughout. Located next door to Higher Ground, it’s the ideal place for a drink either before or after lunch or dinner.
Partnering with the internationally renowned Stockport-based MasterSounds, Bar Shrimp will feature a Clarity M-1215 sound system, custom designed for the space. Music Director, Lukas Stankunas, will curate the music programming on a weekly basis, bringing his multi-dimensional approach to sound as well as artists from around the UK and beyond.
Walk-in for drinks, reserve for food! Reservations are accepted in the dining area Wednesday to Saturday at dinnertime and on Saturdays at lunchtime. On Sundays, a bar snack menu will be offered.
Opening hours:
