As a leading mass spectrometry instrument vendor, SCIEX provides the critical tools that power global life science research. However, to truly drive next-generation applications, they realised they needed to be embedded directly within the scientific community. By relocating to Alderley Park, SCIEX collaborated with our team to design highly tailored laboratory and customer-facing spaces right at the heart of our thriving ecosystem.

Discover how this strategic move grants them unparalleled access to industry innovators, allowing them to train users, support R&D, and tackle the complex scientific problems of tomorrow alongside the very people doing the work.

SCIEX is an instrument vendor; we're a mass spec company. We do the R&D, we produce, we sell, we support, and we train our users in mass spectrometry. In some ways, we're different to a lot of companies in the life science sector in that we're the provider of the tools. So we actually give people the tools that they need to achieve their work, to solve their problems, whatever it may be.

A big driver for the move here was to locate ourselves literally in the middle of the scientific community here. We worked really closely with the Alderley Park team in designing our own lab space and customer-facing space, which was a really, really great opportunity for us.Part of the reasoning for this move is to be much closer to the science and the people doing the work, so that we can work directly with people on those next-generation applications, whatever they may be. And genuinely, at this point, most of us don't know, and that's where the fun is—it's just being part of that community and having access to each other.
