My Growth Engine: Thriving in the Female Founders Programme
By Bruntwood SciTech
At AI-fueled marketing automation and strategy business Growth Engine, establishing a strong operational structure and vital industry connections is essential. To build this foundation, founder Michelle Veasey joined the Female Founders Programme at Platform in Leeds to plug directly into the city’s vibrant tech community and connect with like-minded entrepreneurs.
By immersing herself in our dynamic coworking ecosystem, she gained invaluable access to expert partners, built crucial business boundaries, and discovered powerful local networks she never knew existed.
Watch this story to see how structured support, inspiring events, and a shared journey with fellow female founders can transform a business vision into reality.

I run Growth Engine, which is an AI-fueled marketing automation software and strategy business. I've been doing sales and marketing forever; it's just grown from there, really. And I joined the Female Founders Programme because it just seemed like a great opportunity to connect into the city and into other businesses that are doing similar things.
I've definitely learned a lot more boundaries and a lot more how to put structure in place, and clients respect that. Just having access to the partners as well through the programme has just helped shape that process. With the Female Founders networks, and Lean In Leeds, and the other networks that I just didn't know existed, there's all this hub of activity that's going on. Without the structure of the programme and the different events to inspire us and, you know, think in different ways, we wouldn't have been pulled together in that way and gone through it all together in the way that we have done.
