Globachem is a Belgian agrochemical business, and we specialise in the registration and distribution of crop protection products. Globachem Discovery is the UK R&D for Globachem. Globachem has evolved over the past few years to have more of an international focus; now we have offices in Brazil and China as well as the UK.Working with Globachem Discovery, it's really fun. It's great that we have such a small and united team wanting to progress, basically, for the sustainability of the future of the agrochemical industry.
We chose to locate the business at Alderley Park because it was access to talent. Alderley Park is a vibrant and innovative campus, and that really is attractive to locate here. We have access to the science services team, great waste facilities team, key equipment that we need as well. This has been key for us as a business to be able to essentially have an extension of our R&D capabilities.
When we looked to build a new laboratory space at Alderley Park, we worked with the key team at Bruntwood SciTech to look to build a chemistry laboratory and an office space that really fitted our business needs, looking at ways that we could build something that was sustainable. I'm really proud of what we've built here at Alderley Park. It looks like we've come together to build a really vibrant lab space.
