Our partnership with Manchester School of Art aligns with our desire to support local arts and culture so that communities are engaged and lives can be enriched as a consequence.
The second oldest design school in Britain, MSA provides a broad range of architecture, art, design, media and theatre courses in a unique creative environment that encourages creative collaboration across the disciplines. The school place importance on experimentation and have a playful yet serious approach to media, materials and processes.
We partnered with the Manchester School of Art at MMU to develop a programme, as part of the curriculum, and the aim of which is to further and maintain the rich cultural offering already present in the city. In order to support these cultural activities we've invested in new roles within the business including an Arts Coordinator.
Manchester School of Art demonstrates not only our engagement with local arts and culture but a dynamic cross-sector partnership. Winner of the Manchester Culture Awards 2018 in the Best Business Partnership category, the Manchester School of Art Partnership has provided opportunities to students at all stages of their creative studies to work to a real brief from a real client, and to exhibit their work in prominent Bruntwood properties across Manchester.
Our joint success at the Manchester Culture Awards 2018 puts us on the map along with an esteemed list of ‘people, groups and organisations who have made a cultural buzz’. (Manchester City Council)
