Yorkshire Based Steak Specialists Cut & Craft Set for Bond
By Bruntwood SciTech
Premium steakhouse and sustainable seafood destination, The Cut & Craft, is coming to Bond, Bruntwood SciTech’s Grade II* listed building on Mosley Street in Manchester city centre. The restaurant and bar is expected to arrive at the new workspace and leisure destination in late 2024, completing the transformation of the 19th century banking hall. Bond, which Bruntwood SciTech opened in October 2023, is the result of a £5.6m restoration of an iconic building across four floors and The Cut & Craft will be at the heart of the destination.
Having built a large and loyal fanbase in Yorkshire, with restaurants in both York and Leeds city centre, the Bond restaurant will be The Cut & Craft’s first venue in the north west.
The 8,600 sq. ft restaurant will form the centrepiece of Bond, located on the ground floor amidst the original Italian Palazzo style architecture with its palatial double height ceiling, grand colonnades, and expansive floor length windows. Steeped in history and right in the heart of the city, The Cut & Craft at Bond is set to be one of Manchester’s most magnificent dining rooms as a legendary banking hall is brought back to life.
The Cut & Craft is renowned for serving exceptional steaks and seafood, fine wines, beers and cocktails in the most elegant and unforgettable settings. At the heart of the experience is their premium steak cuts menu including a selection of premium dry-aged cuts. A menu of daily fish specials are served alongside their house oysters, Exmoor caviar and other expertly delivered fish dishes like seared king scallops, and grilled monkfish. It’s all complemented by crowd pleasers like lamb cutlets, fish & chips, craft burgers and classic salads.
A large range of fine wines and cocktails will be served from a striking central feature bar as well as a curated spirit collection and beer menu created by The Cut & Craft’s in-house bar team.
Bond is a complete reimagining of the 28,000 sq ft 19th Century building, which was originally built for the Manchester and Salford Bank in 1862. Combining modernity with tradition, Bruntwood SciTech has included standout features such as a complete restoration of Bond’s Victorian heritage designs, and a number of innovative amenities, such as a large on-site gym and shower facilities, cycle hub, and business lounge. With the arrival of Cut and Craft the Bond building is now complete, creating a new destination for the city as well as an exceptional offering for those working in the building.

We have been huge fans of the city for some time and can’t wait to join Manchester’s brilliant dining community, especially at such an exciting time. Our locations are hugely important to us, and this historic site feels like the perfect home for our first north west opening. The design and character of our spaces is a major part of The Cut & Craft experience and we were waiting for the perfect opportunity to create our signature offering of exceptional food in unforgettable surroundings. In Bond we have found exactly that and we’re excited to open our doors right in the heart of this fantastic city”.
