TEAMCo selects Bruntwood SciTech’s McLaren in Birmingham as launchpad for national expansion

Global digital assessment trailblazer TEAMCo, the force behind the E-Assessment Management Company, is set to expand their national presence, establishing a new hub in Birmingham at the city’s re-imagined Mclaren building.

Located in the heart of central Birmingham, TEAMCo’s new space - a whole floor of the state-of-the-art workspace - will take advantage of the building's £2.4 million refurbishment, currently underway by the UK’s largest property provider dedicated to the growth of the tech, innovation and science sectors, Bruntwood SciTech. The joint venture between Bruntwood, L&G and Greater Manchester Pension Fund is soon set to complete works, transforming Mclaren into a flagship hub for Birmingham’s future-focused organisations.

TEAMCo’s expansion to Birmingham into Mclaren marks a bold step in its national growth strategy, with Birmingham chosen for its central location, breadth and volume of talent, and thriving innovation community. As the organisation’s first base in the city, Mclaren will provide an ideal platform for the company to scale its operations, strengthen partnerships with the city’s world-class educational institutions, and support its mission to revolutionise digital assessment across the UK.

Introducing a new hub at Mclaren will enable TEAMCo to utilise Bruntwood SciTech’s flexible workplace offering, providing an environment that adapts to their evolving needs as they host both scheduled and pop-up exams to support upcoming talent across the city, accelerate their mission to revolutionise digital education, and lead the delivery of tech-enhanced assessments across the UK.

With strong transport links to open up new opportunities for wider participation and talent development, and through Bruntwood SciTech’s partnerships with the city’s universities and alternative training providers, locating to Mclaren offers the perfect stepping stone for TEAMCo to launch its next phase of growth. Just a short walk from Moor Street Station and the future HS2 Curzon Street terminal, its central location will also improve access to TEAMCo’s services for learners across Birmingham and surrounding areas.

TEAMCo’s new base will see them benefit from the proximity of and introductions to the 130+ technology, digital and innovation business ecosystem located across Bruntwood SciTech’s four city centre innovation hubs and two campuses already established in Birmingham - alongside its national network of over 1,100 startups, scaleups and global businesses. TEAMCo will be joining the likes of AJP Midlands, also set to move to Mclaren to complement and build on its already existing hub in Liverpool.
