Sell out success for Alderley Park’s Farm Weekend
By Bruntwood SciTech
Event headlined by Mr. Bloom put a spring in the step of 4,000 guests
Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park, where world leading science, innovation and stylish living come together, welcomed the return of Farm Weekend on 9th and 10th April. 4,000 people flocked to the event to enjoy a weekend of family friendly activities, performances, markets and local food and drink.
Headlining the programme was everyone’s favourite gardener Mr. Bloom, who performed four shows over the weekend. Led by his trademark humour and musical talents, fans enjoyed an interactive and energetic set from the CBeebies favourite.
Hosted at Alderley Park’s working farm, attendees celebrated the magic of spring, from lamb cuddling to tractor rides and interactive animal displays. Children and adults alike got crafty with a large range of workshops including wooden egg decorating and bunny ear crafting.
The farm’s woodland paths were open for exploration, and guests enjoyed Alderley Park’s 400 acres of green space. Hundreds of little ones even left the event looking like their favourite farm animal thanks to the face painting stations.
Adventurous attendees took on archery sessions, as well as a farm-themed circuit course presented by Everybody Leisure.
Meanwhile, a whole host of local traders, selling everything from baked goods to sweets, plants, candles and much more, gathered to create an extraordinary artisan market. Foodies were treated to an array of choices including pizza and ice cream from a wide selection of suppliers from the area whilst Alderley Park’s resident pub The Churchill Tree provided drinks from its Clementine bar.
The family friendly not-for-profit event welcomed 4000 people over the weekend and proved to be a wholesome and inspiring day filled with nature and enjoyment.
