Bruntwood SciTech's Bond Building Welcomes The Cut & Craft Restaurant

Bruntwood SciTech’s Bond building has welcomed the opening of all-day dining and experience restaurant, The Cut & Craft.
The restaurant, set to open on Monday 28th April, will be located within the former Manchester and Salford Bank, now called Bond by Bruntwood SciTech, a spectacular Grade II* listed building on the corner of Mosley Street and York Street in the heart of Manchester city centre.
The 19th Century 50,000 sq ft Bond building has undergone a multi-million pound complete transformation which combines modernity with tradition for innovation-led businesses. With standout features such as a complete restoration of Bond’s Victorian heritage designs and a number of innovative amenities to promote active travel and wellbeing, including a gym, secure cycle hub, contemplation room, and a shared lounge with a variety of breakout spaces for collaboration. It is fully let to businesses including global tech companies Teleperformance, SafetyCulture and Corpay. With the arrival of The Cut & Craft, Bond is now complete, creating a new destination for the city as well as an exceptional offering for those working in the building.
The Cut & Craft is housed in the old banking hall, the centre piece of one of the city’s last great palazzo style buildings, originally designed by famed Mancunian architect Edward Walters, also behind the city’s Free Trade Hall. The striking and restored double height banking room houses a grand 200 seater restaurant and bar, joined by a glass Louvre-style open kitchen headed up by The Cut & Craft’s in-house master butcher. Within the heart of the banking hall, is an elegant destination bar topped with Brazilian blue labradorite marble, met with a golden gantry which fully takes advantage of the towering ceiling heights in the space.
The former subterranean banking vaults have also been transformed to house exclusive private dining, glamorous restrooms, and an elegant Champagne cellar. Located in the main vault, The Sir Edward Walters Suite, named to celebrate famed Mancunian architect, Edward Walters, is a grand 22-seater private entertainment space with its own bar. The room celebrates the vault's former purpose of storing money, with interior details playing on rich metallics, warm brass tones and heavily marbled details.

Renowned in York and Leeds for its exceptional selection of premium steaks, as well as fresh fish dishes, The Cut & Craft Manchester continues to celebrate great local ingredients with its menu and monthly changing specials unique to the city. The menu includes Carlingford Oysters and Rockefeller Oysters, Exmoor Oscietra Caviar and Imperial Beluga Black Caviar which feature throughout the full menu. Premium cut steaks are met with a wide selection of house made sauces and sides including dauphinoise potatoes, cauliflower cheese croquettes, buttered mash, macaroni cheese, truffle & Parmesan fries, and wedges of charred Hispi cabbage with tahini and chorizo. Elsewhere signature dishes include Cajun Monkfish and Grilled Sea Bass Fillet, plus vegetarian and vegan selections including Halloumi Fajitas, Redefine Flank Steak, Grilled Peach and Cauliflower Salad, and Vegan Shepherd’s Pie.
The Cut & Craft promises affordable luxury dining and drinking within elegant yet timeless settings. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for breakfast and brunch, indulgent dinners, leisurely lunches and evening celebrations, plus special bottomless Champagne Bank Holiday brunches.
