The Co-op and Caffé Nero to open at 3 Sovereign Square

Following the recent announcement of joint developers Bruntwood and Kier Property celebrating the completion of 3 Sovereign Square, Caffé Nero and the Co-op have confirmed that they are taking space at the new development in Leeds.

The Co-op has signed a 15 year lease to take 3,442 sq ft securing their place in the development with new investment and a fresh new look for the brand. The Co-op has commenced their fit out with their completion date estimated for the 15th of December.

With a focus on fresh, healthy foods, a wider range of meal ideas, food-to-go and an in-store bakery it’s in perfect shape to serve Leeds’ busy consumers.”

Caffé Nero has signed to take a 10 year lease to occupy 1,927 sq ft of retail space with only one unit left available and one under offer. Caffé Nero is now open at 3 Sovereign Square cementing its place as a strong business in the square.

As established business destinations, both operators will enhance the retail and amenity provision in this area of the city centre.

The remaining unit available in the building is 2,982sq ft overlooking the newly completed Sovereign Square with garden space offering an attractive option to a bar/ restaurant operator. The final unit under offer is 1,090 sq ft on the corner of Sovereign Street and Swinegate street.

3 Sovereign Square, which was recently sold to Leeds City Council for £43.75 million, is part of a scheme that is set to transform the area of Leeds city centre. Sovereign Square is key in the plan to connect the city core and the planned South Bank development.
