Bruntwood’s active steps to new networking

Property giants Bruntwood are taking big strides to make networking really work for Liverpool businesses…
Partnering with business support organisation Striide, Bruntwood are backing a series of fun
and informal ‘active networking’ events in the city.
Ready, Set, Striide combines traditional networking with the opportunity to try new sports and
activities, supporting businesses and teams to improve physical and mental wellbeing, while
making new connections.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Bruntwood on this new series, working to bring health and
wellbeing higher up the business agenda in Liverpool,” said James Webster, operations
manager at Striide.
“Networking should be fun, accessible and inclusive, which is why we’ve created a programme
of active, informal events suited to every level of ability.
“Building on our successful launch with touch dodgeball, we have upcoming events ranging
from self-defence to rooftop lawn games – and we’re looking forward to bringing teams and
individuals together to connect through memorable, active experiences.”
The partnership with Bruntwood will see events taking place on the second Wednesday of each
month, with a range of different sports and activities tailored to suit beginners and more
experienced participants.
“We’re always looking for new ways to deliver value to our customers, build vibrant communities
and provide businesses with the support and expertise they need to grow,” said Kate Heathcote,
Community Engagement Manager at Bruntwood.
“The wellbeing of our community is especially important to us and we’re looking forward to
collaborating with Striide to provide access to wellbeing-focused events without having to step
too far away from the office.”
Focused on physical, mental and social wellbeing, Striide provides support for good business,
equipping teams to do and feel the very best they can – through events, resources, team and
solo experiences, and longer-term initiatives.
The organisation is preparing to launch a new digital platform this summer, enabling member
organisations to measure their impact across business, teams and local communities.
Self-defence, the next Ready, Set, Striide event, takes place on Wednesday 14th June, from
12-1pm, at The Old Hall, Cotton Exchange, L3 9LQ.
Events are open to all within the Merseyside business community, with reduced ticket prices
available to Bruntwood customers and Striide members.
