Bruntwood has made a flying start to 2017 after Armstrong Solicitors relocated to a 22,575 sq ft office space at The Plaza in Liverpool.
The law firm is more than doubling the size of its current office, at 5 Temple Square, and will move its entire 150-strong team of solicitors, fee earners and support staff to the fifth floor of the Bruntwood-owned building on Old Hall Street.
Bruntwood has undertaken a sustained period of refurbishment at The Plaza since it first acquired the building in 2007 and this latest letting takes its total occupancy to more than 95%.
Armstrong Solicitors was founded in Liverpool in 2006 and offers a range of commercial, private and personal injury claims services to clients across the UK. Specialist areas include commercial litigation, conveyancing, professional negligence, workplace accidents and defamation.
It joins a host of other professional services firms at the building, including Investec, Weightmans and Plexus Law.
Dawn O’Brien, chief executive at Armstrong Solicitors, said: “The business has achieved significant growth in recent years through commitment, hard work, expansion and diversification. Armstrongs is now an established nationwide presence across a number of legal services, including its professional/clinical negligence division, Been Let Down, which offers services to hundreds of clients in respect of professional negligence, defamation and historic abuse claims.
“These are exciting times and by relocating and significantly expanding our office footprint in the city, we have gained a new, contemporary home for our excellent team and given ourselves a fresh platform to achieve even further growth in the coming years.”
Matt Lee, head of sales at Bruntwood, said: “This is a major letting with an established and respected business, so understandably there was much competition across the Liverpool property market. It is testament therefore to the enduring strength and appeal of The Plaza that Armstrongs Solicitors have chosen it as their new home.
“This instinctively feels like a perfect move for all concerned and Armstrongs can expect to dovetail well with the existing businesses in the building. Occupancy at The Plaza is reaching new heights and it remains the undisputed address for professional services in the city.”
