Wishing Tree Thank You

2020 was a difficult year for many, but it’s also been heartwarming to see how our local communities have come together to help one another and lift each other’s spirits.

You may remember that, late last year, we coordinated our annual charity Wishing Tree campaign to help spread some joy at Christmas time. The festive period is seen as a time to give back and support those around us. Building on the success of our first initiative in 2019, we’re committed to helping our communities, especially when they need it most.

We partnered with charities across our cities and communities including Manchester Youth Zone, HideOut, The Welcome, An Hour For Others, The Growing Project and SlungLow.

With your help, our charity partners were able to give presents to children, young people and the most vulnerable in our communities, who might not otherwise have had anything to open at Christmas. From books to toys, gardening equipment to food, your donations really helped to brighten the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to the campaign this year, it has been so humbling to see your generosity and the impact it has had on our communities. A few of our charity partner and those that they support have sent us their thanks…
