Cylla Restaurant Brings Fine Dining Greek Cuisine to Birmingham
By Bruntwood SciTech
Birmingham's culinary landscape is set to be transformed with the arrival of Cylla, an innovative fine dining destination that seamlessly blends authentic Greek cuisine with contemporary gastronomy. Located in the heart of the Colmore Business District at the former All Bar One space in Bruntwood SciTech’s Cornwall Buildings on Newhall Street, Cylla draws inspiration from the legendary Greek sea monster Scylla, promising a dining experience that celebrates the perfect harmony of sea and land.
Under the guidance of General Manager Adonis Maniadakis, whose Greek heritage forms the cornerstone of Cylla's vision, the restaurant introduces a sophisticated approach to Mediterranean dining that transcends traditional boundaries. "Being of Greek origin, it was my passion to bring Greek culture and fine food to Birmingham," says Maniadakis. "Cylla will be one of its kind—a totally unique experience that combines the elegance of fine dining with the warmth of Greek hospitality."
The restaurant's innovative mixology program stands as a testament to creative excellence, with expert mixologists crafting Mediterranean-inspired cocktails that perfectly complement the culinary offerings. Each drink is carefully designed to enhance the dining experience, incorporating traditional Greek spirits and fresh Mediterranean ingredients.
The interior design of Cylla merges contemporary elegance with subtle references to Greek architecture, creating a sophisticated atmosphere perfect for intimate dinners, celebrations, and special occasions. The space has been thoughtfully crafted to reflect the restaurant's commitment to providing an immersive dining experience that engages all the senses.
"Cylla represents boldness, courage and adventure within Greek and Mediterranean fine dining," explains Maniadakis. "Our goal is to create not just a meal, but a unique dining experience that transports our guests to the shores of the Greek islands while pushing the boundaries of culinary creativity."
Matt Pazos, Retail Commercial Manager, for Bruntwood SciTech - the UK’s largest property platform dedicated to the growth of the nation’s innovation economy, added:
