CityCo is an independent membership organisation endeavouring to make Manchester city centre a better place to work, visit and live. Connecting businesses of all sizes and sectors with public agencies, CityCo brings people together to share ideas and create projects that make great things happen. CityCo also manages the city’s first Business Improvement District (BID).

Colmore Business District

Colmore Business District is a business improvement district (BID) established to project manage improvements and services to the business quarter of Birmingham. Colmore BID is principally financed through a 1% levy on the rateable value paid by a business. The BID company is a not-for profit and democratically elected company.

Liverpool Commercial District BID

Commercial District BID was established in 2011 and represents more than 550 companies across the business heart of Liverpool city centre.

The BID’s role is to promote this part of the city centre as a vibrant destination and key location to invest through a programme of initiatives.
