The next phase for Citylabs is a £60m, 220,000 sq ft expansion which will create Citylabs 2.0 & 3.0 within MFT's hospital campus. Citylabs 2.0 & 3.0 will be immediately surrounded by the Manchester Royal Infirmary, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, and Saint Mary's Hospital.

Businesses which locate here have direct access to MFT's specialist clinical resources and expertise from researchers, clinicians and procurement teams, as well as MSP's specialist growth support and events programme - including access to funding, talent, new markets and university resources. You will also join MSP's community of over 300 like-minded science and technology businesses.

Citylabs 3.0 is the second phase of the expansion, with 128,000 sq ft Grade A and state of the art, flexible lab and office space over 6 floors, lo cated immediately next to Citylabs 2.0.

Citylabs 3.0 will see the Old St Mary's Hospital and listed chapel refurbished, as well as a beautiful new build constructed, which joins the historical building by a beautiful glass atrium, in similar way as Citylabs 1.0.
