Bruntwood has completed the latest expansion of its flexible suites schemes at its properties in Waterloo and Bootle.
Phase three of the Trading Rooms scheme, which features suites ranging between 200 and 2500 sq ft, as well as breakout space and kitchens, has been finalised at Burlington House in Waterloo. Two previous phases at the Crosby Road North development are now fully let.
Meanwhile, a new range of suites measuring from 300 to 2500 sq ft has been completed on the fifth floor at St Hugh's in Bootle, following the success of previous phases on the third and fourth floor of the Stanley Road building.
The work follows a bumper year of lettings at both of the Sefton developments, which saw a combined 300% increase in deals during 2016. A number of those were said to be prompted by the ongoing enhancement of the nearby Port of Liverpool, with a range of companies in associated sectors such as logistics, HR, marine and engineering arriving in the area for the first time.
Among them was John Good Shipping, which recently secured a 2,200 sq ft space at Burlington House in a bid to further enhance its freight forwarding and ship agency activities in the north west.
Tony Reed, head of sales at Bruntwood, said: “The past 12 months have seen a major jump in the number of new enquiries and lettings at both St Hugh's and Burlington House. This is driven partly by the growth of the port less than two miles away, as well as the ongoing investment and refurbishment at both sites.
"Our flexible suites have been especially popular as they allow businesses to handpick the size of space they need, rather than having to settle for something larger or smaller. This is a major plus for businesses that are starting up or expanding cautiously, as it gives them maximum control and room to grow within the same building if and when they need it.
"The specification of these latest suites is higher than ever before, so we expect them to be just as popular as previous phases."
