We all have our favourite cities. Maybe it’s the place you grew up in, the community you’ve made your home, or perhaps a holiday destination that’s stayed with you ever since. But no matter where it is, there is always something that makes it thrive.
We wanted to find out what it is that truly makes cities thrive. So we asked over 2,500 people, “what makes a thriving city?” so that we can work together to help make our cities better places for everyone.
People overwhelmingly spoke about the importance of creating opportunities; providing space to make connections; the impact of the environment; and the experiences that cities can offer.

Why do thriving cities matter to us?
